What Kind of a Life is That? Dottie, 70, convalescing after a stroke at her daughter Marie's suburban home, hopes to establish a relationship with her granddaughter Carrie before the stressed out family shunts her off to Dustbin Acres. Dottie's waitress friend Luella comes to visit her, and the salty old girls entertain Carrie with tales of their wild times in the Flapper Era and hard times in the Great Depression.
